We’ve partnered with the ultimate dog-dad, Chris Evans, to share our story and further our mission to make healthier food accessible to dogs everywhere.

Life stages
Understanding Your Dog's Life Stage Nutrition
Depending on their breed and size, your faithful companion could be with you for up to 20 years. Throughout this time, your pup’s body and energy levels will change, and their nutritional requirements will, too.
Puppy
Puppies need more calories, protein, and fat than adult dogs. Calcium is essential for the development of strong bones and teeth, and DHA is an omega-3 fatty acid critical for brain and eye development.
Adult
Most dogs reach their adult life stage at 1 year old. At Jinx, all of our kibble except for our puppy food is classified as suitable for “all life stages.”
Mature (7+) and Senior (11+)
The age at which a dog is considered “senior” varies across breeds and sizes, typically between ages 7 and 12. Transition to a diet geared toward older dogs when play sessions get shorter.

When it comes down to dog vs human sense of smell, it’s no comparison. In contrast to a human’s 5-6 million olfactory receptors, dogs have closer to a whopping 300 million olfactory receptors in their nasal cavities.
Some think it’s up to 100,000 times more powerful than ours. We’ve seen studies that show they can track a scent from 1.6 miles away.

3 Superfoods to Give your Dog this Fall
Fall is here: that means long walks, jumping into leaf piles, and Pumpkin spice everything. Some familiar seasonal ingredients like pumpkin, apple, and sweet potato are pup-approved superfoods.
Pumpkin
